She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest Andersen and Isabelle Andersen (Kreidler); her siblings, Marvin, Roger, Kenneth, Donna Mae and Dorothy; her son-in-law Rev. Robert Vaage; and her sister-in-law Shirley Andersen.
She is survived by: her grandsons, Erik Vaage, Emmitt Cleveland and Nick Cleveland; her husband Lowell of Chokio; her children, Lorie Standinger (Mark) of Arlington, MN, Ruth of Herman, DeeAnn Vaage of Milford, IA, Janet Cleveland (Greg) of Eau Claire, WI, Rick of Chokio and Melissa Lemme (Carl) of Sioux Falls, SD; her grandsons, Jonathan Vaage (Michea) of Milford, IA, Christopher Vaage of Austin, TX, Rev. Erik Vaage (Jessica) of St. Paul, MN, Nicholas, Kendal Cleveland of Eau Claire, WI and Bradey Lemme of Sioux Falls, SD; her brothers, Wallace Andersen (Lynda) of Hoffman, MN and Robert Andersen (Sharon) of Overland Park, KS; and her sister-in-law Marge Andersen of Herman.
In late 2016, Barb was diagnosed with Alzheimer's. In the fall of 2019, she left the family farm in Eldorado Township and resided at West Wind Village in Morris until her death.
