She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Arthur H Meland and Mabel Meland (Backen); her grandparents, Ardath and Day; her children, Barbara Luikens (Richard Benson), Arlys Redden (Dwight) and Nancy Joanis; her grandchildren, Alexander Benson (Alena), Nicholas Benson, Katherine McCauley (Tommy), Jennifer Redden, Beth Harrison (Bradly) and Derek Redden (Carrie); her great grandchildren, Hendrik Benson, Eliza McCauley, Dominic Redden, Makayla Rauer, Ailee Harrison, Beckham Harrison, Dorothy Redden and Elvin Redden; her sister Marlys Johnson; her husband Elvin; and her son-in-law William Joanis.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Land Stewardship Project, 821 East 35th Street, #200, Minneapolis, MN 55407 in honor of Ardath's commitment to the stewardship of sustainable farming practices.
