He was predeceased by: his parents, Liezerie Scaia and Katherine Scaia (Maurin); and his siblings, Evelyn Saccoman, William "Bill" Scaia and Edward Scaia.
He is survived by: his wife Gerrie Scaia; his sons, Kevin R. Scaia and Todd A. Scaia (Melissa); and his grandchildren, Bella, Evan and Elizabeth. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in his honor, to the Chisholm Community Foundation or St. Joseph's Catholic Church.
