He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Hintze and Rita Hintze (Rossi); his siblings, Gina McGraw, Peter and Joseph; his in-laws, Robert and Cecilia Slagle; and his brothers-in-law, John and Daniel Slagle.
He is survived by: his wife Mary; his children, Ernest (Annie) and Laura Kearns (Charles Miller); his grandchildren, Brittney Kemper (Tom), Nicholas Kearns (Claire), Allison Miller, Lucas, Sydney and Beckett Hintze; his siblings, Anna Bremer, Steve (Eileen), Sylvia Miller (Michael), John (Sharon), David (Cathy) and Bill (Karen); and his sisters-in-law, Liz Hintze and Bonnie Hintze.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Bridget of Sweden (13060 Lake Blvd, Lindstrom, MN 55045).
