He is survived by: his sister Pat Parmer; his children, Barb Buus (Joe), Mark McKenzie (Darla), Mike McKenzie (Trudy) and Jeff McKenzie (Mary); his grandchildren, Kari Vaughn (Bob), Steven Buus (Whitney), Tami Coozennoy (Steven), Matt McKenzie (Tiffany), Alicia McKenzie (Erik), Alex McKenzie (Yesi), Jake McKenzie, Luke McKenzie (Kenzie) and Garrett McKenzie (Katie); his great grandchildren, Griffin Vaughn, Grace Vaughn and Lucy Coozennoy; his stepgrandchildren, Corey (Sarah) and Cassandra (Andy); and his stepgreat-grandchildren, Evan, Ethan, Hayden, Hadley, Railyn and Connor.
In 2017 he transitioned to living at Ecumen Nursing Home because of his Parkinson's Disease.
