We are sad to announce that on February 27, 2021, at the age of 89, Gerald Laplante of Chatfield, Minnesota, born in Rochester, Minnesota passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter LaPlante and Hazel LaPlante (Allen); his former wife Verna Miller of Chatfield; and his siblings, Walter Jr. "Bud", Reverend Joseph LaPlante and Mary Rodgers (Jane).
He is survived by: his wife Maureen Keefe; his children, Steve (Cindy) of Chatfield, Julie Amy of Chatfield, Jean Mensink (Heath) of Preston, Jeff (Shawn) of Chatfield, Jennifer Anderson (Steve) of Eagan, Brian (Kristin) of Byron, Greg (Dayna) of Chatfield and Brad (Christie) of Hutto, TX; and his sister Kay Gadient of Goodhue. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren.
Due to COVID-19 masks will be required.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Mary's Catholic Church.
