He was predeceased by: his father Orrin Schafer; his brother Dave Geerdes; and his niece Hailey Schafer. He is survived by: his mother Susan Schafer (Stephans); his friend Paul; his wife Vicki Schafer; his stepchildren, Danielle Bethel (Mitch) and Derek Bethel; his stepgrandchildren, James and Lily Lengyel; his siblings, Stacy Williamson (Tim), Chris Schafer (Cyndi), Shelly Sabin (Scott) and Shiela Burt (Andy); and his sister-in-law Patty Geerdes. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other extended family and friends.
