William McCloskey Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William McCloskey of Chaska, Minnesota, born in Saint Peter, Minnesota, who passed away on July 12, 2023, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifford McCloskey and Idabelle McCloskey (Olson); his brother Donald; his half-siblings, Joe, Lyle McCloskey, Jack, Jim, Richard Jennings and Jeanne Conners; and his parents-in-law, Enko, Clara Smidt, Maurice and Walter Haler.
He is survived by: his wife JoAnn Smidt; his sons, William (Maria-Luisa) of Wayzata and Robert (Kateryna) of Belle Plaine; his grandchildren, Benjamin, Daniel and Hannah; his stepgrandchildren, Francisca (Ian), Valentina, Daniela, Camilo (Steph), Maria (Grant), Isadora and Gabriel; his sisters, Gloria Fisher and Cheryl Bruestle; and his sister-in-law Greta Haler. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
