It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Shirley Ekstrom of Chaska, Minnesota, born in Glencoe, Minnesota, who passed away on March 20, 2021, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Herbert Hoen and Emma Hoen (Harms); her sister June Hoen; and her brothers-in-law, Don Jaspers and Rich Engelmann.

She is survived by: her husband Merrill Ekstrom; her children, Pam Ostman (Don), Barb Schoenrock (Chuck) and Jeff Ekstrom (Tamara); her grandchildren, Dave Ostman (Jordan), Josh Ostman (Palee), Brad Schoenrock (Jackie), Sandy Schoenrock (Todd), Cody Ekstrom and Casey Ekstrom; her great grandchild Hailey Ostman; and her siblings, Dorothy Jaspers, Herbert Jr. Hoen (Diane), Robert Hoen (Jane), Kenneth Hoen (Mari), Gerald Hoen (Judy) and Roxane Engelmann.
