She was predeceased by: her parents, Bernie Swanson and Marie Swanson; and her husband Ray Schmidt. She is survived by: her daughter Michele Pedersen (Jonathan); her grandchildren, Matthew, Hannah and Hayley; her sister Janet; and her daughter Lynn (Lou).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Down Syndrome Association in her memory.
