He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Schlegelmilch and Mary Schlegelmilch (Butterfass); his wife Marian Brusehoff; his sister Leona; his brother-in-law William "Bill" Buetow; his parents-in-law, Harry and Hilda Bruesehoff; and his siblings-in-law, Eddie, Mavis Deis, Gordon Tellers, Harlan, Betty Ann Kroells, John Schultz and Harry "Sonny" Bruesehoff Jr..
He is survived by: his children, Vicky Bonde (John), Karla Ryshavy (James), Wendy Sorensen, Nancy Bailey, Laurie Jabs (Myron), Russell Schlegelmilch (Lisa) and David Schlegelmilch (Linda); his grandchildren, David Diethelm (Mindy), Scott Haas (Kate), Shannon Watson (Nate), Erik Sorensen (Brooke), Jennifer Anderson (Adam), Sean Bailey (Danielle), Megan Genz (Chad), Michael Jabs (McKenzie), Jodi Jabs, Dan Jabs, Carrie Kamann (Shaun), Angie Weiland (Ethan), Ruth Rockwell (Ben), Rachel Pilipauskas, Joanna Schlegelmilch, Stephanie Koch (Brandon) and Alix Schlegelmilch Samuel Schlegelmilch; his great grandchildren, James, Emma Watson, Hayley, Chase Haas, Tucker, Luke, Jake, Vera Sorensen, Landon, Kylie, Weston Anderson, Sloane, Maeve Bailey, Kellan, Emmett, Hannah Genz, Addison, Barrett, Maisey Jabs, Calvin, Hazel, Greta, Autumn Kamann, Marleyna, Rollie Weiland, Aurora, Evelyn Rockwell, Tahtianna, Tobias Pilipauskas and Oliver Koch; and his siblings-in-law, Harriet Tellers, Charlotte Schultz and Daniel Bruesehoff (Janette). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
