He was predeceased by: his parents, Martin Schultz and Leonora Schultz (Bahrke); his siblings, Kenny, Bill, Earl Schultz, Lois Schultz and Marvella Stier; his sister-in-law Joan Schultz; his nephews, Gary and Kevin Stier; and his parents-in-law, Clifford and Elsie Trende.
He is survived by: his wife Kathleen Trende; his daughters, Susan Jensen (Brian) and Lori Rain (Eric) of Chaska; his grandchildren, Nick (Avery), Morgan Jensen, Devon, Max and Kylie Rain; his sister Gloria Schultz; and his siblings-in-law, Sandy Schultz, Miki Schultz, June Hoeft (Paul), David Trende (Laurie) and Darrell Stier.
