Luella Schilz Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Luella Schilz of Chaska, Minnesota, who passed away on April 21, 2025 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Otto Winter and Elizabeth Winter; her husband Stan Ladwig (Bob Schilz); her granddaughter Emily Askeland; her great grandchild Elise Hernandez; her son-in-law Stan Askeland; and her stepson John Schilz III.
She is survived by: her children, Pam Fink (Steve), Todd Ladwig (Michel), Sandy Milroy (Doug), Krista Chapman (Jeff) and Kim Askeland; her grandchildren, Justin Swanson (Allison), Stephanie Gilbertson (Chris), Jennie Fink, Guy Ladwig, Christopher Milroy, Katie Carlson (Joel), Sam Chapman, Ben Chapman, Zachary Askeland (Emma), Kaley Hernandez (Allan) and Aaron Askeland; her stepgrandchildren, Rachel Mueffels, Sarah Schilz, John Schilz IV and Catherine Schilz; her great grandchildren, Dalton Hatfield, Ava, Katelyn Schilz, Emily, Elena and Everly Hernandez; her siblings-in-law, Doris Winter and Dr. Larry Ladwig (Judy Cass); her siblings, Helmer Winter (Ethel Joy), Lyle Winter, Leroy Winter (Penny) and Shirley Winter; her sisters-in-law, Betty Kindelberger (Thurman) and Bertha Speight; and also Bob Schilz, Jr. (Colleen).
Visitation was held on Monday, April 28th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Glory Lutheran Church (1141 Cardinal St, Chaska, MN 55318). A memorial service was held on Monday, April 28th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Crown of Glory Lutheran Church, Chaska.
