Barbara Brunsvold Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barbara Brunsvold of Chaska, Minnesota, who passed away on February 10, 2025, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Barbara may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.

She was predeceased by: her brother Fred Merritt. She is survived by: her husband Bill of Chaska; and her siblings-in-law, Barbara Merritt of Chadron, NE, Mark Brunsvold of Apple Valley, MN and Sonja LaBarge of Greenfield, IA. She is also survived by other relatives and friends.

Visitation was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Glory Lutheran Church (1141 Cardinal St, Chaska, MN 55318). A memorial service was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.

Memorials may be given to Best Friends Animal Sanctuary, St. Jude Children's Hospital, and Red Cloud Indian School Barbara was born November 23, 1932 in Chadron, Nebraska, the older of two children to Ferdinand and Elvira (Deen) Merritt.
