He was predeceased by: his parents, Julius Kemnitz and Ida Kemnitz. He is survived by: his significant other Lois Abbas; his children, Julie Phillips (Frank) of Santa Barbara, David (Mary) of Concord, CA and Randy (Nancy) of Carver, MN.; his grandchildren, Derrick (Taunia), Jacob (Kaylee), Rachel (Michael Hubley) and Aaron; and his great grandchildren, Derrick Jr, Elijah, Elizabeth of California and Brooklyn Kemnitz of New Germany.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
