He was predeceased by: his parents, Harvey Schabel and Marian Schabel (Dillon); and his daughter Sharon Kralik. He is survived by: his wife Judith Kerr of Bay City; his children, Bill Schabel (Terry) of Chanhassen, MN and Jane Ballard of Grand Rapids, MI; his grandchildren, John Kralik V (Alexis), Joshua Kralik, Ryan Schabel (Sara), McKenzie Ballard and Shannon Ballard (Lance Kennedy); and his great grandchildren, Naomi, Jack, Charlotte and John VI.
