“In loving memory of Robert Eugene Cavins, May your heart and soul find peace and comfort during this time. I listen to you every day on Hallow. Today, I cried through the entire reflection. While on my walk, you were talking about the moment you both forgave each other and apologized, at that instance, the clouds parted, and the sun shone brightly. It was glorious. I looked up...something I need to do more. God Bless You and your family.”

God bless your Dad and your family.”

“Today I’m on a pilgrimage in Poland and I had injured my ankle. Instead of being able to attend mass and walk the retreat grounds in Lichen, I’m icing my ankle. I decided to catch up on three days worth of bible readings with Fr. Mike and my daily reflection (10/16) with Jeff and Jonathon. I was stunned to hear of your news. What a beautiful tribute to your Father. You had me in tears. I’m so sorry for your loss. Prayers to you and the family for comfort during this difficult time.”

“Dear Jeff, Listening as I do 99% of every morning before the sun comes up and the house comes alive, it was sad to hear the news of Dad’s passing—you served his memory well. And, of all your reflections this one was quite special in that it brought to life the word of God in all Intention and resurrection glory: “living the gospel.” As you’ll hear probably a million times, the work you do for the souls of all us busted folk is a tremendous testimony of Dad dutifully living his vocation. YBIC Ted”

Cecilia Allcott wrote a sympathy message

“Dearest Jeff, As I was listening to your tearful reflection this morning about your Father (5 AM in Alne, UK) with the rain pitter pattering on my Velux windows, I thought Robert Cavins has a twin - my Father Harold Altendorf ( electrical engineer - head of a family of 9 children). My Father was the best, like yours, with priorities in the right place. God the Father was no. 1, my Mother, Catherine was no. 2 and then his 9 children were no. 3. May Robert Cavins RIP, w/sympathy Cecilia A”
