With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Neil W. Gillis of Chanhassen, Minnesota, born in Hibbing, Minnesota, who passed away on February 16, 2022 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Neil McKay Gillis and Anna Pearl Gillis (Cheever); his siblings, John "Barney" Gillis, Wilbur Gillis (Iris), Mildred Johnson (Bob) and Druscilla Nehiba (Jim); his brothers-in-law, Gene Mielke, Richard Jankowski and Erv Jankowski; his stepson Michael Hunter; and his granddaughter Grace Schulze.
He is survived by: his wife Geri (Jankowski); his stepchildren, Jodie Wehling (Terry) and Paula Schulze (Tim); his grandchildren, Lauren, Michael, Ellie Schulze and Hunter Wehling; his siblings, Peggy Mielke and Tim Gillis (Debra); and his siblings-in-law, Carolyn Gillis, Diane Jankowski, Jeanne Jankowski, Norm Hanson (Betty Haas) and Tom Hanson (Sue).
In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to the Chanhassen Senior Center.
