He was predeceased by: his former wife LueAnn (Lieser); his wife Evelyn (Erickson); and his grandson Rick Hale. He is survived by: his daughters, DeeAnn Wallentine-Hale (Rick Hale) and Jode Wallentine (Martin Stirrup); and his grandchildren, Ella, Everett (Sarah Whitrock) and Emily.
