With heavy hearts, we announce the death of William J Karssen Jr. (Chandler, Minnesota), who passed away on February 21, 2025 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact William had on those he encountered along his journey. Though William may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, his essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Sr. Karssen and Jeanetta Karssen (Eggink); and his siblings, Janice Vander Poel and Roland Karssen. He is survived by: his siblings, Derald Karssen (Joann), Alden Karssen (Marlene) and Gaylene Chapman (Jim); and his friend Daryl Behrends. He is also survived by his family, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Chandler Funeral Home (510 5th St, Chandler, MN 56122). A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM at the Chandler Memorial Cemetery (476 MN-91, Chandler, MN 56122).
He was always generous with his garden's abundance, sharing with friends and donating the proceeds to the food shelf and other charities.
