With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Margaret Degroot of Chandler, Minnesota, who passed away on October 2, 2020 at the age of 100. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Teunis DeGroot and Martha DeGroot (Kallemeyn); her siblings, Alice Sas (Wilbert) and Hemet DeGroot (Jane); her sister-in-law Johanna DeGroot; and her nephew Teunis "Tony" DeGroot.

She is survived by: her brothers, Marvin DeGroot of Edgerton and Lawrence DeGroot (Johanna) of Aurora, SD. She is also survived by eleven nephews and nieces.

In May of 2020, Margaret was surprised with a parade in her honor for her 100th birthday, since the community could not celebrate in the normal way due to COVID-19.
