He was predeceased by: his parents, Harvey Honsey and Minerva Honsey (Tessum); his brother Stanley; and his sister-in-law Carol. He is survived by: his wife Janeen Klomp; his children, Mark Honsey (Deanna), Nathan Honsey (Jess), Tara Cassmann (Jim), Tessa Holtegaard (David) and Aric Honsey; his grandchildren, LaRee, Dalton, Trey, Kyle, Devin, Chelsey, Taige, Kail, Elianna, Devon, Chasten, Brooklynn, Tristan and Madilynn; and his great grandchildren, Aaden, Abigail, Savannah, Paislee and Carter.
The family prefers memorials directed to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation or to the donor's choice.
