He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerry Heumen and Esther H. Heumen; his wife Gloria Johnson; his children, Zola and Randy; and his grandson Brandon.

He is survived by: his son-in-law Greg Anderson of Ceylon; and also, Mary Williams (Jerry), Phillip Johnson, Verne Johnson (Jan), Phyllis Meyer (Gary) and Ruth Carlson.
