He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Lloyd Champine and Grace Champine (Myers); his wife Lois Champine; his sister Marilyn Will of Northfield, MN; his sisters-in-law, Sara Champine and JoAnn DiFiglio; his cousin John Champine; his siblings, Donald, Ray, Jerry, Veryl Champine and Jeanne Lamp; and his niece Pam. He was also cherished by 19 nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Ceylon Historical Society or donor's choice.
