He is survived by: his daughters, Pam Gjerde (Glenn) of Spirit Lake, IA, Kaye Schultze (Kevin) of Ceylon, MN, Kim Garbers (Mic) of Welcome, MN and Kelly Drake (Norman) of Brandon, SD; his grandchildren, Jeff Gjerde, Elizabeth Richter (Dave), Gretchen Gjerde, Heather Meade (Jason), Brent Schultze (Season), Lance Garbers (Christy), Andy Garbers, Adam Garbers (Stacy), Brianna McLaughlin (Corde), Chris Drake (Fawn) and Nicole Drake; and his siblings-in-law, Arla Mae Childs, Ruth Peterson, Sherry Schmidt, Karen Niss, Judy Niss and Lenny Niss. He is also survived by nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
