It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Corey Richard Northbird of Cass Lake, Minnesota, born in Bemidji, Minnesota, who passed away on April 21, 2023, at the age of 35, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Diana Yerbich and Marty Northbird; his daughter Ella Northbird Miles; his siblings, Michael, Dylan, Tony, Jenny Yerbich (Jake) and Sierra Oquist (Andrew); his nieces, Andie, JevanLee, Riley and Avery; his aunts and uncles, Marie Northbird, Barbara Paquin, Darlene Cobenais, Janet Northbird, Pamela Johnson Barsness, Becky Hazeldine (Conrad), Elizabeth Pool, Vernon Northbird, Larry Budd (Vicki), Terry Johnson (Sharon), Bruce Johnson (Emily) and Brian Johnson; his grandparents, Ernie, Angeline Northbird, Irene Sherman, Gordon Oxtra and Donald Jacobs; his great-uncle Lawrence Adams; his stepbrother Brian Northbird; his stepfather Scotty Sawyer; his aunt Carolyn Oxtra; his uncle Mark Oxtra; his cousins, Jesse Fairbanks and Darryl Northbird; his nephew Daniel "Charlie" May; and his pet Misty "Donuts". He was also cherished by numerous cousins, other relatives, and friends.

Corey put his covid money to good use and bought a car for his mom when she needed one also.
