He was predeceased by: his parents, Karl Nelson and Gertrude Nelson (Thompson). He is survived by: his fiancée Carolyn Cronin of Carver; his stepdaughters, Kari Lano (Andy) of Chaska and Kelly Raddatz (Nick Ries) of Gaylord; and his niece Risa Sachs. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren.
