It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Ruth Harriet Melchior of Carver, Minnesota, born in Brainerd, Minnesota, who passed away on December 17, 2023, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Donald Thon and Alice Thon (Sewell); and her brother Harley Thon. She is survived by: her husband Michael Melchior of Paul's Episcopal Church; her daughters, Jackie Skalicky (Jarrod), Jenny Melchior and Jessie Melchior; her grandson Jerome Skalicky; her siblings, Jane Thon, Esther Hayes (Butch), George Thon (Nancy) and Norma Timmons (Mick); and her sister-in-law Chris Thon. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
