It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of LaVerne Abraham of Carver, Minnesota, born in Cologne, Minnesota, who passed away on January 18, 2023, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Lenzen and Elsie Lenzen (Buckentine); her children, Keith and Lynette Mellgren; and her siblings, Charles Lenzen (Della) and Elsie Trende (Clifford).

She is survived by: her sons, James (Rosemary) of Cologne and Kevin (Joan) of Cologne; her husband Art Abraham; her grandchildren, Jamie Abraham, Jesse Abraham (Caroline), Ashley Cauley (Curtis), Janelle Mellgren (Brandon Indykiewicz), Mike Abraham (Freya), David Abraham (Amanda) and Matthew Abraham; and her sister Karen Grimm (Hiram) of Cologne. She is also survived by 11 great grandchildren.
