He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd Mason and Ervina Mason (Schwartz); his siblings, Dennis, Delbert, Dean, Darla Walker (Elmer) and Dawn Palmer; his son-in-law Greg Cool; his granddaughter Victoria Griese; his niece Denise Musselman; his parents-in-law, Ervin and Esther Skjerly; and his siblings-in-law, Rick Keilholtz and Ruby Skjerly.
He is survived by: his wife Annette Keilholtz; his children, Ronda Cool, Jim Mason (Kristi) and Valerie Denton (Jeffrey); his grandchildren, Alicia, Steven, Matthew, Rebecca, Justin, Keegan, Kaydence, Cassandra, Hunter and Tyler; and his siblings, Dianna Johnson, Darrell (Joyce), Dary (Mary), Dayle (Lori), Dorreen Odenbrett (Alan) and Danette Crenshaw (Jan). He is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren, many other friends and relatives.
