He was predeceased by: his parents, Sylvester Schmieg and Dorleen Schmieg (Notermann); his siblings, Duane Schmieg, Daniel Schmieg and Diane Schmid; his parents-in-law, Jerry and Evelyn Neuhaus; and his siblings-in-law, Gerald Neuhaus, Merlin Neuhaus and Wanda Linquist.
He is survived by: his wife Brenda Neuhaus; his siblings, Donna Lubbers (Bob), Debbie Worm (Mark), Denise Fedie (Jerry), Dean Schmieg (Cindy Pawelk), Delbert Schmieg (Heidi), Dion Schmieg (Kathi), Dawn Dammann (Chris), Daryl Schmieg (Trina), Dana Schmieg (Tasha) and David Schmieg (Jael); and his siblings-in-law, Marilyn Schmieg, Darvin Neuhaus (Sheri), Donna Erp (Arnie) and Steve Linquist. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.
