He is survived by: his wife Marnie; his children, Marta Patton (Jack) of West DesMoines, IA, Chad Emerson (Addie Geiger) of Fargo, ND, Kristin Davis (Farzad Kazemi) of Barnum, MN and Julianne Emerson of Carlton, MN; his grandchildren, Quade Patton (Shawna), Travis Patton (Elizabeth), Chloe LiaBraaten (Seth), Jonah Emerson (Alex), Noah Emerson, Taylor Davis (Jenna), Taryn Davis (Tom Hill), Jennifer Redowl (Archie), Gregory Sundstrom (Erica Bauer-Sundstrom) and Colin Emerson; his great grandchildren, Chance Patton, Robert Davis, Eliska Sundstrom, Christian Davis and Aspen Patton; his siblings, Gordon Emerson (Margaret), Beverly Richardson, Janice Munsterteiger, Vern "Joe" Emerson and Ken Emerson (Cathy); and his brother-in-law Steven Hagberg (Jane). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, relatives, and friends.
Memorials are preferred to Bethesda Lutheran Church.
