She was predeceased by: her parents, Oscar Carlson and Tilda Carlson; her husband Howard Dion; her siblings, Edith Carlson, Margaret Anderson, Sigard, Edwin "Hook" and Walt; and her stepbrother Harry Carlson.

She is survived by: her children, Renee Dion Edin of Stillwater, Jerry Dion (Rose) of Cloquet and Steve Golen (Del Marie) of Cloquet; and her grandchildren, Pamela Edin-DeRoy (Paul) of Hager City, WI, David Edin of Woodbury, MN, Howard Dion (Betsy) of Trent, Kristine Dion-Tindell of Fort Worth, TX, Nicole Dion-Phisthner of Cloquet, Cody Golen of Cloquet and Paige Golen-Poyerd (David) of Maple Grove. She is also survived by seven great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and many friends.
