She was predeceased by: her parents, Eino Granholm and Alma Granholm (Himango); her husband Lloyd Schmitz; her granddaughter April Schmitz; her brother Jalmer Granholm (Barb); and her brothers-in-law, Dick Houck, Lee Nopola, Don Brening and Dave Dixon.
She is survived by: her children, Carrie Buller (Brad), Randy Schmitz (Linnea Smerdon), Craig Schmitz (Roxane) and Colleen Spicer (Tim); her grandchildren, Aaron Buller (Rachel Welde), Autumn Buller (Anthony Mazzitello), Adrian Buller (Shaylyn), Andrew Buller, Adam Schmitz (Amanda), Cody Spicer and Stephanie Schmitz; and her sisters, Selma Houck, Mary Brening, Alma Nopola, Helen Dixon and Arlene Nopola (Carl). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Parkinson's Foundation or the Epilepsy Foundation.
