He was predeceased by: his parents, Otto Freitag and Emma Freitag; his stepmother Maida Freitag; his siblings, Lenard, Arnold, Vernon, Wilbur Freitag, Elderene Zastrow-Ellertson, Darlene Botner-Kate and Rose Johnson; and his siblings-in-law, Karen Freitag, Archie Botner, Ron Kate and Art Ellertson.
He is survived by: his wives, Gayle Beatty and Gayle Patricia Freitag of Glenwood; his daughter Darlene Alexandra of Pierre; his siblings, Sharon Senneka of Minneapolis, Eldonna Genrich of Alexandria and Orris Freitag of Blaine; and his siblings-in-law, Don Ostenson and Betty Freitag. He is also survived by nephews, other family members and many friends.
