He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude Steidl and Mary Steidl (Forster); and his siblings, Mike, Tim, Larry, Marie and Lorraine.
He is survived by: his significant other Carol Jean Schneiderhan; his children, Jean Grothen (Herb), Rick Steidl, Randy Steidl (Wendy), Julie Waldorf (Dave) and Jim Steidl (Sadie); his grandchildren, Shelly, Missy, Kristin, Kacie, Jacob, Ben, Nicole, Maggie, Nick, Nolan and Emily; his sisters, Betty Schramel (Jim), Joanie Zimmel (Cyril) and Judy Kaufman; his sisters-in-law, Ella and Doris; his close friend Jeff Beck; his pet Pepi; and his close friend Muffin. He is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren.
Just like he dealt with all experiences in life, Jim fought with strength and vitality managing the complications of Covid-19; his quick-wit and devoted family filled his final days.
