He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Schmugge and Frieda Schmugge (Lange); his former wife Marlene Ann Kaufhold of Roseville, MN; his parents-in-law, Fred and Hilda Kaufhold; his siblings, Marcella Voss (Edwin), Reuben (Norma), Frederick (Doris), Arthur (Maxine), Dorothy Lindholm (Leland), Lorraine, Betty Crossfield (Donald) and Robert (Phyllis); his siblings-in-law, Gerald Kaufhold (Ethelreda), Robert Kaufhold, Carol Vittum, Arlene Sachs (Jerry), Betty Hanson (Lee), Gary Sundheim (Lillian) and Joey Sundheim; and his grandson Jackson Cowdrey.
He is survived by: his wife Elvena Penfield (Sundheim) of Cannon Falls; his children, Michael, Joseph, Becky Stuckmayer (Ted), Kristina Greene (David) and William (Sandra); his grandchildren, Christopher Pomeleo, William Greene (Camille), Daniel Greene (Stephanie), Jonathan Aguh-Stuckmayer (Korma), Joseph Schmugge (Elyssa), James Schmugge (Michelle), Josiah Stuckmayer, Robert Greene, Ian Finley (Mashayla), Marlena Halverson (Ryan), Julia Stuckmayer, Meredith Greene, Claudia Schmugge (Noah Brenny) and Matthew Schmugge; his great grandchildren, Adalyn, Titus, Estelle, Maia, Isabella, Asher, Naomi and Ava; his sister Luanne Tollefson; his siblings-in-law, Nancy Schmugge, Kenneth Kaufhold (Mary), Don Sundheim (Darlene), Rod Sundheim (Barb), Rosemary Slevin (Pat) and Stephanie Sundheim; his stepchildren, Marie Sachs, Cindy Smith (Frank), Connie Self (Larry) and Kristel Cowdrey; and his grandson Jonathan Stuckmayer. He is also survived by 12 step grandchildren and 21 step great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
