He was predeceased by: his parents, Mathias Stein and Magdalena Stein (Feidt) of New Trier; his brothers, Norbert Stein and Joseph Stein; and his son Nick Jr. Stein.
He is survived by: his wife Annette (Langenfeld); his children, Linda Weinhandl (Dave), Dale Stein (Arlene) and Sharon Bauer (Leroy); his daughter-in-law Lori Stein; his sister Elizabeth Otto; and his sisters-in-law, Kathleen Stein and Louella Stein. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
