She was predeceased by: her parents, Alexander Felde and Anne Felde (Schmidt); and her daughter Heather. She is survived by: her husband Karl Nelson; her son Mike Nelson; her grandchildren, Carly and Emily; her sister Esther Amundson; and also, Gene Brummund, Alex and Hannah. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
