She was predeceased by: her parents, Calvin James and Minnie Belle Carpenter (LeBaron); her former husband Roy David Nelson; her husband Dean Poe; and her children, Lester Poe, Leatrice Poe, Maurice Nelson and Gwendolyn Poe.
She is survived by: her children, Rolla Jane Boersma, Carla Nelson and Laura Luke; and her sister Mary Walsten. She is also survived by ten grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
