He was predeceased by: his parents, Otto Johnson and Anna Johnson (Anderson); his wife June Nelson; his sons-in-law, Richard Olson and Leon Reincke; his grandson-in-law William Baack; his siblings, Theodore "Ted" Johnson (Annabelle), Edward "Eddie" Johnson (Gladys), Vivian Quist (Ervin), Florence Cartwright (Louie), Clarence "Donkey" Johnson, Robert Johnson (Lois), Doris Egge (Pete), Merlyn Johnson and Merle Johnson; and his brothers-in-law, Jerry Nelson and James Hillier.
He is survived by: his children, Susan Olson, Margaret "Peggy" Reincke, Janice "Jan", Roger Flaten, Alice "Alyce" Stiller (Gary) and Charles "Chuck" Johnson; and his sisters-in-law, JoAnne Johnson, Lola Johnson, Frances Hillier and Jan Nelson. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren.
