James left this world on June 23, 2024 at the age of 94, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ara J. Soule and Eleanor Soule (Gunderson); and his siblings, Bruce, J. Scott and Doris Caron.
He is survived by: his wife Arletta Martenson; his children, Barb Elias (Ken) of Cannon Falls, Bruce (Jean) of Lakeville, Jim (Sheryl) of Lakeville, Jon (Terry) of Cannon Falls and Brenda Deutsch (Dave) of Cannon Falls; his siblings, Gary (Sue) of Edina and Elizabeth Nolan of Jordan; and his grandchildren, Aaron Soule, Jenny Jacobson, Jeff Soule, Jodi Stuart, Tammy Meyers, Jackie Arradondo, Shelly Clemons, Brady Soule and Megan Soule. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandson.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to First English Lutheran Church and John Burch Park Supporters fund.
