He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Swanson and Evelyn Swanson; his former wife Patty Swanson (Janssen); his sister Dale Jean Pagel; and his parents-in-law, Gene and Betty VanGuilder.
He is survived by: his wife Sue; his children, Tammy Anderson (Dale), Mandi Hofstedt (Josh) and Luke Swanson (Krista); his grandchildren, Sammy, Dylan, Kaden Anderson, Madasyn, Mason, Logan Hofstedt, Grace, Magnus and Beck Swanson; his siblings, Kathy Shorter (Richard), Janet Gehrke (Richard), Toni Otto (Ray) and Art Swanson (Ellen); and his brother-in-law Dennis Pagel. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
