She was predeceased by: her parents, Linda Ekstrom (Johnson) and Rody Ekstrom; her husband Laurence "Larry"; her siblings, Glen, Bill, Charles Ekstrom and Helen Ekstrom; and her granddaughter Heather Roberson Ludwig.
She is survived by: her children, Linda Roberson (Tom) of Ames, IA and Gary Hovel (Nancy) of Cannon Falls; her grandchildren, Robert Ludwig, Brad Hovel (Kelly), Terri Fredin (Ross) and Greg Hovel (Courtney); and her great grandchildren, Peter Ludwig, Lily, Riggin Hovel, Jordon, Max, Larissa Fredin, Cashton and Caleb Hovel. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
