He was predeceased by: his father Clarence Synstelien (Clauson); his siblings, Candora, Norman, Arthur, Olin, Duane and Ordean; and his sister-in-law Mary Ann.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Ann Wilkins; his children, Lola Perkett (Bruce) of Newburgh, IN, Gregory Synstelien of Rochester, Nathaniel Synstelien of Holdingford, Deborah Monson (John) of Cannon Falls and Rebecca Koivisto (Keith) of Buffalo; his grandchildren, Matthew Perkett (Emily), Suzanne Perkett, Janine Reade (Tyler), Zachary Synstelien, Gabe Synstelien, Natalie Synstelien (Wyatt), Thomas Monson (Samantha), Kjersten Anderson (Nicholas), Michael Monson (Taylor), Jonathan Monson, Kayla Hill (Brandon), Krista Niemela (A. J.) and Elizabeth Koivisto; his great grandchildren, Hudson, Maverick, Elias, Lila, Elijah and Everly; and his sister Ardelle Barry (Rick).
