She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Mathias Ertz and Anna Ertz; her husband Marvin Pagel; her children, Pamela Varnado (Pagel), Ellen Pagel of Marshall, MN, Karen Ohmann of Northfield, MN, Angela Holt (Jon) of Red Wing, MN, Renae Pagel of Ramsey, MN, Wendy Cordes (Tom) of La Crescent, MN, Richard Wilder (Nancy) of Milledgeville, GA and Ann Wendt (Bob) of Mankato, MN; and her sister Delores Arends. She was also cherished by 6 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren.
