He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard F. Rechtzigel and Ella E. Rechtzigel (Kirchner); his son Ron; his grandchildren, Jessi Fritz and Brock Rechtzigel; his son-in-law Fred Holte; and his siblings, Leonard Jr., Bob, Marv, Jim and Shirley Molkenbur.
He is survived by: his wife Delores Spillman; his children, Bonnie Holte of Harris, Dennis (Patty) of Red Wing, Doug (Jan) of Cannon Falls, Randy (Ann) of Cannon Falls and Brenda Rechtzigel (Jack Ables) of Zumbrota; his daughter-in-law Cindy of Cannon Falls; his siblings, Glen (Jean) of Wanamingo, Paul (Sharon) of Kenyon, Jerry (Karen) of Glencoe and Doris Burberl of St. Anthony; and his grandchildren, Justin, Connor, Logan, Matthew, Nolan Rechtzigel, Jon Holte, Bree Smude, Angie Rechtzigel, Jenny Jandro and Amy Samuelson. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
