Vernon J. Waltz Obituary
We are sad to announce that on February 5, 2025, at the age of 84, Vernon J. Waltz of Canby, Minnesota passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the sacred silence of farewell, Vernon is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. And as his memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Vernon's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Jake Waltz and Leona Waltz (Gessert). He is survived by: his children, Shelly Jensen (Scott Lynne) of Montevideo, MN, Jennifer Witzel (Jamie) of Montevideo, MN and Jeremy Waltz (Nicole) of Montevideo, MN; and his siblings, Bernadette Larson (Dallas) of Lantana, Texas and Robert Waltz of Marshall, MN. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews & cousins.
Visitation was held on Sunday, February 9th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM and on Monday, February 10th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the Houseman Funeral Home, Birk Chapel (111 5th St E, Canby, MN 56220). A funeral service was held on Monday, February 10th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the St. Peter's Catholic Church (307 4th St W, Canby, MN 56220).
