He was predeceased by: his parents, Sieben Eilers and Nettie Eilers (Fricka); his son Tim; his grandchildren, Justin Steele and Brittany Jelen; his siblings, Margaret Kriese, Iver Eilers, Deloris Mether and John Eilers; and his cousin Margaret Fricka.

He is survived by: his wife Wanda Eilers; his daughters, Lori Jelen (Robert), Brenda Mamer (Joe), Karen Ludewig (Duane) and Robin Nuese (Keith); and his daughter-in-law Jill Eilers. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.
