He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Kranz and Rosalia Kranz (Sturm); his wife Freda Tuve; his brothers, Charles Kranz (Eileen), Norbert Kranz (Wilma) and Lavern Kranz (Betty); his niece Molly; his nephew David; and his great-nephews, Dwight and Maynard Tuve.
He is survived by: his children, Richard Tuve of Sioux Falls, Joyce Klaassen (Kenneth) of Clara City, MN, Paul Tuve (Brenda) of Raymond, MN and Janice Sebring (Terry) of Clarksville, TN; his daughter-in-law Kendra Tuve; and his siblings-in-law, Deloris DiSisto, Shirley Markegard and Ralph Hasner. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren, many great grandchildren and some great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
